Black Diamond is a HIGH quality closed coat silicon carbide, waterproof, 100% polyester cloth material. 24 - 80 grits are on a heavy "Y" weight backing and 100 - 1000 are on a heavy "X" weight backing, with a closed coat. Black Diamond is among the best in the world in this class of material. It's an excellent choice for glass sanding, but works effectively on wood, metal, plastic, fiberglass, and rubber, where loading may be a problem.
